I am rather enjoying the Simonsvlei Lifestyle Series at the moment! Particularly the Merlot 2005. I bought a few bottles at Liquor City (@ R19.99 per bottle) for a dinner party last week and was quite delighted at how easily it flowed. I quickly rushed out and bought a few more. According to the label on the bottle the Simonsvlei Lifestyle range of wines are designed for everyday, easy-drinking to compliment your lifestyle. So that is why it’s ready to open and drink at anytime, you don’t have to worry about the year. I found that the Liquor City price is great because I compared it to various supermarket prices and the same bottle of wine was priced around R26 – 29 per bottle.
