When not flying solo, who does Miss Merlot like to mix it up with?
A smooth and mellow diva, Miss Merlot plays well with others and has a large number of friends and acquaintances. Miss Merlot is sociable, friendly and just likes to blend in. Miss Merlot traditionally co-stars with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec in the classic “Bordeux” hit, but also enjoys hanging out with other varietals in the sisterhood such as Shiraz and Pinotage.

What criteria is Miss Merlot looking for in a dish to accompany her for dinner?
She usually has her eye on the roasts – beef, chicken, lamb and duck, but Miss Merlot also hooks up regularly with pizza and even chocolate with much enjoyment all round. Her empathetic nature means she will give most dishes a chance.

What kind of impression does Miss Merlot make?
Miss Merlot is versatile, easy to like and easy to share – not necessarily the life and soul of the party but definitely a people pleaser that goes down well with most red-wine lovers.
