Taste Exclusive Auction Wines in Gauteng
Thursday, August 2nd, 2007The annual Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild (CWG) Auction Showcase will be held in Sandton, Gauteng on Thursday 30 August. This informal tasting in an interactive environment gives wine lovers based in Gauteng the opportunity to taste unique wines selected for the 2007 Nedbank CWG Auction as well as additional premium wines produced by the Guild’s 37 members.
Now in its sixth year, the Nedbank CWG Auction Showcase is a precursor to the Nedbank CWG Auction, which takes place on Saturday 6 October at The Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West. The Showcase will bring many of South Africa’s leading winemakers ‘upcountry’ to personally present their wines to the Gauteng public ahead of the October Auction. Visitors to the Showcase will have the chance to meet the Guild’s newest member Adi Badenhorst of Rustenberg Wines.
Since its inception in 1985, the Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild Auction has become a significant event on the South African wine calendar for the public and trade alike, attracting both local and international bidders.
