DiVineX. WineX.
A SandtonBosch Walking Tour with Wine Diva

With awesome edutainment, goodie bags, prizes and giveaways.

Ever longed to go on a walking tour through the Sandton winelands? Well here’s your chance…

Welcome to SandtonBosch doll! It’s RMB WineX’s 10th birthday, and I have planned something completely unique for 10 (x3) of you to celebrate with me…

Wine Diva is your trail boss on Tuesday 27 October, Wednesday 28 October and Thursday 29 October to take packs of 10 sassy-sistas from one end of SandtonBosch to the other… as we work the DiVineX WineX circuit and swirl it in style with the wine whos-who.
—————————–

17H30 -– We’ll meet up at Sandton Food Court for some cheese and bread frenchy style, while I dish out the mini survival carry kit, and a “go team go” briefing. Please wear comfortable shoes.

18H15 to 20H30 — We will spend about 1.5 to 2 hours exploring RMB WineX, moving along the DiVineX routes like some uncommonly clever chameleons. Afterwards, you will have 30 mins for shopping and what-you-will on your own.

20H30 -– We head to Sandton Square for a coffee. After coffee, you’ll each receive an awesome DiVineX goodie bag incl. loads of loot such as Wine Mag, chocolates from Lindt, Great Karoo Water, 6 x mini bottles of Beyerskloof Pinotage Rose, a mini bottle of Tall Horse Shiraz wine, a Tall Horse key ring, and Douglas Green hand shopper bag. The DiVineX Goodie bag loot is worth over R200.

On the night spot prizes and giveaways incl. Avon goodie bags, stunning bracelets or earrings from Cazabella Jewellery, cooler bags from Douglas Green and Diemersdal wine gift packs.

For only R350pp – incl. awesome guided adventure with me, a frenchy snack, a mini survival kit, access into Winex and a tasting glass, an exclusive jam-packed goodie bag, the chance to win some truly awesome prizes, and a coffee afterwards.

And there are only 10 of these exclusive DiVineX WineX tickets per night available on either Tuesday 27 Oct, Wednesday 28 Oct, Thursday 29 Oct. Email me on wineclub@winediva.co.za or phone me on 083 263 2660 to secure your place in the lucky pack.

Invitation, PTA: The Italian Job, Wine Diva Style

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

You’re invited to a Wine Diva ladies luncheon on Sat 31 October at Ritrovo in Pretoria, and it’s a safe bet you’re going to “AH-MORE-HEY” this job, but someone’s got to do it.
Meet your leading man, “Handsome Rudi” from Bilton Wines

“Shall we steal away for lunch?”

Rudi de Wet

… Get in on this Bilton Wines action at Ritrovo Ristorante starring winemaker Rudi de Wet as “Handsome Rudi”, with Ritrovo owner and chef, Fortunato Mazzone, as himself, and I will of course be playing the best-supporting-role as the real Wine Diva, but sometimes mistaken as Charlize (I get that all the time actually). But instead of MINI Coopers…

Bilton Wines

… I found these cool cars at Bilton Wines to smuggle the 2 x “chocolate and Bilton Merlot” early bird lucky draw loot back to my Wine Diva headquarters for safe keeping. That means you’ve got exactly until 30 September 2009 to work your magic on your girlfriends and get everyone in on this early bird golden opportunity…

Bilton Wines

Handsome Rudi will steal our imaginations with stories of his beautiful and rare Bilton wines, and then swindle us with the latest slice of what he’s heard on the Italian grapevine, because he’s in Italy as we speak. Forti will steal our senses with his delicious Italian culinary genius paired with bellissima Bilton wine…  and maybe a sweet serenade or two. I won’t try to compete with these two master thieves but I will share some wellness tips to help you steal away the excess stress for some healthier living, and I’ll also take you for a ride down memory canals by recalling a trip I took to Venice in 1999. Lisa from Juicy Fruit Accessories, who is hotstepping with news from the fashion runways, will sneak us some fresh and juicy fashion and jewellery trends for the new summer season, with a sneak preview of pieces from her summer accessory collection. What a line up!
Want all green traffic lights to get there? Then don’t be a real napster and wait until the last minute, book today and arrive safe, dressed to steal!

Bilton

Bamboo Turns 10 – Come celebrate with a slice of cake!

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

On Saturday September 19, Melville’s landmark designer lifestyle centre Bamboo will celebrate its 10th birthday.  Jo’burg lifestyle-revellers are invited to help blow out the candles and join in the festivities suited to both adults and children.

The first of its kind in Johannesburg, Bamboo was launched in 1999 to the day by former Melville couple, Alison Green and Barry Gould.  Today, Bamboo has moved into the millennium with poise and permanence still offering Jo’burg shoppers a tedium-free retail alternative that is thoughtful, wholesome, design-focussed and contemporary.  Each of the eight interlinked shops uphold the lifestyle centre’s ethos of supplying South African products and services that are life-enhancing and indulgent to the senses.

The birthday festivities – which include a spectacular surprise cake – on Saturday 19 September at Bamboo, 53 Rustenburg Road, Melville, from 11h00 to 16h00 are as follows:

•    Start the day at Service Station with a birthday special breakfast or pop in later for lunch.  Quiche slices and other confectionery will on sale at the upstairs market.

•    Peruse a while at Love Books. At 11h00 join Chris van Wyk, author of the children’s version of Nelson Mandela’s biography, The Long Walk to Freedom.

•    Stock up at the Deli and Wine Market with the freshest homemade spring fare – olives, breads and Spanish salamis.  Add a couple of King Proteas to your basket. For R30 taste wines from SA family-run cellars, Beaumont, Oak Valley, Paul Cluver, Ross Gower, Barry Gould Family Wines, Joostenberg, Stark-Condé and Joubert-Tradauw.

•    Get creative and have fun at jewellery-making workshops at Tinsel.

•    Be inspired to dine each day with the style of celebration – party-themed tables on view at The Blooming Plate.

•    Learn the art of glassblowing at Smelt – mini workshops for the whole family on the hour.  Make your own sand-mould cast paperweight for R95.

•    Be intrigued by the Black Coffee 2010 Spring and Summer Collection, which recently took the stage at the Berlin Fashion Week, on “fashion walk-about” through Bamboo.

•    View the Carol Lee art exhibition at Upstairs@Bamboo.

•    Revive as Renue launches range of body oils for bath and massage relaxation.
