Wine Diva is your trail boss on Tuesday 27 October, Wednesday 28 October and Thursday 29 October to take packs of 10 sassy-sistas from one end of SandtonBosch to the other… as we work the DiVineX WineX circuit and swirl it in style with the wine whos-who.

17H30 -– We’ll meet up at Sandton Food Court for some cheese and bread frenchy style, while I dish out the mini survival carry kit, and a “go team go” briefing. Please wear comfortable shoes.

18H15 to 20H30 — We will spend about 1.5 to 2 hours exploring RMB WineX, moving along the DiVineX routes like some uncommonly clever chameleons. Afterwards, you will have 30 mins for shopping and what-you-will on your own.

20H30 -– We head to Sandton Square for a coffee. After coffee, you’ll each receive an awesome DiVineX goodie bag incl. loads of loot such as Wine Mag, chocolates from Lindt, Great Karoo Water, 6 x mini bottles of Beyerskloof Pinotage Rose, a mini bottle of Tall Horse Shiraz wine, a Tall Horse key ring, and Douglas Green hand shopper bag. Handsome Rudi will steal our imaginations with stories of his beautiful and rare Bilton wines, and then swindle us with the latest slice of what he’s heard on the Italian grapevine, because he’s in Italy as we speak. Starter – Insalata Primavera
Wild rocket, thinly sliced roasted beetroot, fennel bulb, red onion and warm chevre dressed with a gold balsamic dressing
Starter served with Bilton Sauvignon Blanc

Main – choice of:
Grilled Tilapia served on crispy vegetables with a duo of pestos – classic basil and pine nut and red pepper and cashew

Inspired by The “real” Italian Job (2003):

On Saturday September 19, Melville’s landmark designer lifestyle centre Bamboo will celebrate its 10th birthday.  Jo’burg lifestyle-revellers are invited to help blow out the candles and join in the festivities suited to both adults and children.

The first of its kind in Johannesburg, Bamboo was launched in 1999 to the day by former Melville couple, Alison Green and Barry Gould.  Today, Bamboo has moved into the millennium with poise and permanence still offering Jo’burg shoppers a tedium-free retail alternative that is thoughtful, wholesome, design-focussed and contemporary.  Each of the eight interlinked shops uphold the lifestyle centre’s ethos of supplying South African products and services that are life-enhancing and indulgent to the senses.

For R30 taste wines from SA family-run cellars, Beaumont, Oak Valley, Paul Cluver, Ross Gower, Barry Gould Family Wines, Joostenberg, Stark-Condé and Joubert-Tradauw.

•    Get creative and have fun at jewellery-making workshops at Tinsel.

•    Be inspired to dine each day with the style of celebration – party-themed tables on view at The Blooming Plate.

•    Learn the art of glassblowing at Smelt – mini workshops for the whole family on the hour.  Make your own sand-mould cast paperweight for R95.

•    Be intrigued by the Black Coffee 2010 Spring and Summer Collection, which recently took the stage at the Berlin Fashion Week, on “fashion walk-about” through Bamboo.

•    Revive as Renue launches range of body oils for bath and massage relaxation.
